As part of Safer Internet Day, the World Friendship Ambassadors came into school last week to speak to pupils about how they spend their time online. Through discussions around online posts, group chats, online gaming and online anonymity pupils were taught that "what's online, stays online" to highlight the importance of thinking before posting and messaging.
As pupils engaged with the ambassadors, they became better equipped to handle the online world through 3 simple steps:
Understand: Behind every screen is a person.
Think: How might they or someone else be feeling?
Take Action: Block, report or if needed, say sorry.
