Pupils in 4LP are thoroughly enjoying their topic 'Misty Mountain, Winding River'. This week, the children looked at maps of the River Wear from its source in the North Pennies to its mouth in Sunderland. They loved locating the different physical and human features of the river and identifying their 4-figure and 6-figure grid references. They especially enjoyed picking out the features they recognised from their local area such as the Northern Spire Bridge!
