This week Year 6 looked into the future! Using their knowledge of this term's topic, Darwin's Delights, the class considered how humans may look in thousands of years to come!

Close your eyes and imagine that you’ve been catapulted far into the future. You’re face-to-face with a human race that has gone through thousands of years of evolution. Everything is different. The environment has changed. Society has changed. Nothing looks the same. The world as you know it has changed and moved on, so how are you going to survive? What will you need in this new world? It’s time to meet your future self.

After sketching out an initial drawing, the children took to the iPads to create their future-self. Check out their fantastic futuristic creations below.⬇️

Sawdah said: "It is fun - we can see that if we put humans and another species together, how different it will look! It's interesting to think that is how we might look in the future."

Femi added: "This afternoon was very exciting. We were able to have a look into the future. The inspiration behind Jay and I's idea was that in the future, people may be able to merge two different DNAs together to produce a super-human."
