Staff at Diamond Hall Junior Academy have been working with pupils to come up with six new science principles (below) that will be at the heart of all science lessons.
As a forward-thinking, proactive school, we are always looking for new awards that we can achieve and next on our list is the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) award.
The PSQM award is a highly successful, unique award programme to develop and celebrate the profile of science teaching, learning and leadership in primary schools.
Whilst science is already great at Diamond Hall, we are always looking for ways we can improve. We asked pupils what they love about science and they told us it was the investigations and experiments. As a result, teachers will now ensure this is a key part of their topics each half term.
